SPRINGVILLE, Utah (AP) -- A new school is opening for students interested in making movies.
Emerson-Smith College is opening a new branch for high school and college students who want to study the film industry.
Artistic director Pam Lockwood says that the liberal arts college's film school will open Oct. 1.
Lockwood says Utah is full of students anxious to learn the art and business of movies, but prestigious film schools can be expensive. Emerson-Smith's tuition won't be cheap, either, but at $9,400 per year is much more affordable than others.
Lockwood says students who do well enough could also be eligible for free tuition in the second year.
