Neighbors help couple whose home was vandalized

Andrew Adams reportingNeighbors rally to help a Latter-day Saint couple who believes a failure to distinguish between Mormons and polygamists led to the vandalism of their home.

"Mormon die" was scribed on their house when the vandals were done, but it's not there anymore. Steve and Judy Coons say folks from other churches came forward to help erase the graffiti.

"People, you know for the most part, have been real supportive of us, and you know we're always going to have negative vibes out there from other people, and they got their opinion too," Steve said.

Those people have commented on the local newspaper's Web site that the Coons brought the vandalism on themselves. Steve thinks they don't understand the difference between Mormons and polygamists.

Detectives have some leads, but still nobody in custody.
