(KSL News) Score one for the little guys. A group of Box Elder county residents got enough signatures on a petition to get the sale of their county landfill on November's ballot.
A few months ago, two of Box Elder's three commissioners voted to sell the landfill to the Northern Utah Regional Landfill Authority, or NURLA, because they say the landfill was not making enough money to sustain itself.
Residents were upset and felt like they hadn't been informed of the deal until commissioners had already decided to sell it.
Now they'll get to voice their opinions on Election Day.
