SALT LAKE CITY — Summer is in the air and many schools are letting out for their 3-month break — which means that kids around the nation are rejoicing.
YouTube sensation, "Kid President" released a video on May 22 that tells the reasons why "summer is awesome." His answers include:
- The sound of flip flops
- Popsicles
- Sweating (I don't actually know very many people who like to be all sweaty)
- The way your voice sounds next to a fan
- Not having school
The United States Department of Agriculture reports that nearly 16 million children in the U.S. face hunger. Kid President teamed with ConAgra Foods to raise money for those children who may face hunger this summer. The ConAgra Foods Foundation is *donating the monetary equivalent of one meal ($.11) to Feeding America for every view, like or share of Kid President's YouTube video for up to a maximum of one million meals.
Feeding America network members serve the Utah Food Bank in Salt Lake City. The Utah Food Bank serves 29 counties in Utah.
The fundraiser will run until July 31.
