(KSL News) If the presidential election were today, who would you vote for?

According to an exclusive Dan Jones poll for KSL-TV and the Deseret News 62 percent of Utahns would cast their ballot for Republican John McCain. Barack Obama would receive 24 percent of the vote with 9 percent still undecided.

If Election Day was today, who would you vote for?

When asked about each candidate's running mate, those surveyed had differing opinions.

Of those surveyed 73 percent felt McCain's pick of Sarah Palin is helping his chances of winning. Only 12 percent felt Palin hurt him.

On the Democrat side, most of those polled felt Obama's selection of Sen. Joe Biden didn't make a difference in his race. Twenty-nine percent say it will help his chance of winning and 19 percent say it will hurt him.
