Harry Potter camp prepares students for junior high

Some Davis County seventh-graders may find themselves in something closer to Hogwarts than junior high.

It's the Harry Potter summer camp for incoming seventh-graders this week at Fairfield Junior High.

Headmistress Lauren Cash says the students will be divided into houses. Older students are prefects.

She says, "When you have the prefects, they are working with them, and say ‘Oh, let me tell you how I took care of that problem with homework,' or ‘Let me tell you about these teachers,' or ‘How you can get to class,' and all that."

They'll even have a Quidditch tournament on Friday after learning about entering junior high in the fall. No word if there's a troll in the basement.
