(KSL News) Smoke detectors in a Midvale apartment complex did their job this morning, and all residents got out safely.

Firefighters got a call that smoke and flames were coming from the complex's management office. Crews contained the fire to that office, but evacuated about 80 residents because of all the smoke.

A firefighter had a minor injury when a dog bit him on the nose as he rescued the pet.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Residents have been allowed to return to their apartments.
