Shooting Victim is Awake, Responsive

(KSL News) One of the Trolley Square shooting victims that is hospitalized, Alan "A.J." Walker, has awakened and is responsive.

A.J. was shopping with his father, Jeffrey, on Monday. The two had just finished and were leaving when they were shot. Jeffrey was killed. A.J. is still listed in serious condition.

The Deseret Morning News reports A.J. still doesn't know his father has died and might not find out until tomorrow. He underwent surgery to relieve pressure on his brain, and doctors are concerned stress could adversely affect the outcome.

Funeral at noon

A funeral service for Jeffrey has been set for this weekend. There will be two viewings, one tomorrow in Taylorsville and the other Saturday in South Jordan. The funeral will follow at noon.
