FAIRVIEW -- A Fairview man suspected in the murder of his wife is behind bars for stealing her medication.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports Ronald Leroy Hall, 72, is charged with one count of second-degree felony drug distribution for allegedly filling his wife's prescription for pain medication one day after she died.
Hall was arrested on Oct. 30 after allegedly admitting to police he struck his wife on Sept. 6 hard enough to bruise her left eye.
The next day she was taken to the hospital and died three weeks later. An autopsy is currently being done.
Her husband initially claimed she had fallen out of bed.
Family members disputed that and asked for a police investigation.
