MURRAY -- A 7-year-old boy got the surprise of his life Monday night.
Jared Vance came to the Make-A-Wish Foundation last week and wished for "lots of Legos." On Monday, his wish came true! But it wasn't easy.
Superman, Spider-man and the Incredible Hulk helped Jared, dressed as Iron Man, as he tracked down a bad guy who stole some of the Lego. Once they caught him, Jared got a whole bunch of Lego bricks--25 boxes full of them.
Jared has a rare type of brain cancer, called a chordoma tumor, that starts in the tissue around the spinal cord. Jared's dad says his son is a superhero in their family, and he's just glad to see Jared so happy.
"This has been a great opportunity for him and for us to see a smile on his face," Andrew Vance said.
Jared wasted no time getting started on his Lego masterpieces.
