EDEN, Utah (AP) -- Two people missing at Powder Mountain Winter Resort have been rescued after spending several hours in severe weather.

Deputies say 21-year-old James Davol from Austin,Texas was found in a canyon late last night. It was more than eight hours after he was last seen by friends.

When crews found Davol, officers say his condition was going downhill fast. Rescuers built a fire to warm him up. They say Davol was then checked out by medical technicians and released.

Alex Stcherbinine of Ogden was skiing last night in trees and never came out. Deputies say he was later found five miles away in the opposite direction.

Deputies say winds were gusting at 45 miles-per-hour during both searches and visibility was limited to five feet.
