Samantha Hayes ReportingIt's the same storm that passed through Utah, but in Denver, oh what a difference! This new storm could bring another foot or more of snow; it is already causing delays and cancellations all around the country and here in Salt Lake City.

Denver seems to be the holiday bull's eye for storms, with already more than half of foot of snow in parts of the city. The airport was still clearing out from the pre-Christmas storm so this is deja vu for many travelers.

Airlines have been urging travelers to get out of Denver early or delay departures until after the storm. By 2 p.m. United Airlines and Frontier, which together account for 80 percent of traffic at Denver International Airport, canceled more than 180 flights. That will be disrupting air travel all over the country.

A few weeks ago planning a flight through Denver may have seemed like a fine idea; tonight it looks again like a dead end.

Stephen Clark, Denver Bound: "I'm here to see if they can switch me through Chicago, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen so Denver it has to be, if that's possible."

Chrystal Hall just arrived in Salt Lake City from Denver, where leaving late did not look like a possibility.

Chrystal Hall, Arrived from Denver: "It was snowing. They canceled most of the flights."

It's the same storm that hit Utah first. Cedar City knows what it feels like, they got more than foot. But it's the second time around for Denver. Over Christmas 5,000 travelers were stranded for two days, many sleeping wherever they could. There are still about a hundred bags sitting at United Airlines baggage claim, soon to be joined by a whole new batch.

The storm is affecting Salt Lake City flights too.

Doug Harris, Airport duty manager: "We've seen some flights cancel inbound and outbound."

Koi Dent, Delayed: "I flew from San Francisco to Reno, and that was delayed; and to Reno to Salt Lake, that was delayed as well. My father is in Phoenix, he's delayed; and a cousin in Colorado called some family to see if she can stay at their house for a few days."

They've received half a foot already and forecasters are predicting another foot tonight. Check with your airline before heading out.
