WEST JORDAN -- A 4-year-old boy is back home from the hospital Thursday morning, a week after he was hit by a car in a West Jordan crosswalk.

The boy, his mother, and two children in strollers were crossing Bridle Creek Way in West Jordan last week when they were hit by an allegedly impaired driver.

The 4-year-old was taken to the hospital in critical condition. His mother and two toddlers suffered minor injuries.

Police booked the driver, Cody McCormick, on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
