SALT LAKE COUNTY -- Search crews spent Wednesday evening looking for a missing man in Neff's Canyon; 27-year-old Benjamin Hoecherl was last seen Monday morning.
Monday was Hoecherl's day off, but when he didn't show up at work Tuesday, family members knew something was wrong.

His wife says the two were having some financial problems and stressing about having a baby in two months, but Hoecherl's father says he wasn't seriously depressed.
"I don't think he was suicidal or anything, just think he maybe went up there to relieve some stress and maybe fell and got hurt or something. I don't know," Bryan Hoecherl said.
Hoecherl's sister remembered he liked to hike Neff's Canyon and she and her father went there Wednesday morning and found his car. So far, though, search and rescue teams have not been able to find him.
The search has been called off for the night, but the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office says they will resume the search Thursday morning.
