(KSL News) The Salt Lake Tribune is reporting a man charged with murdering his girlfriend's daughter will undergo examination to determine if he's competent to stand trial.
Trevor Grover is accused of strangling 3-month-old Arouralee Randles to death with a sock.
Court documents reveal Grover did confess to the strangling.
Grover was dating the girl's mother while her husband is serving in the U.S. military in Korea.
A hearing to review Grover's mental health is set for January 22nd.
