BLUFFDALE -- A roadside flagger is getting a lot of love from commuters who say she makes their day. Among the slow-moving construction traffic on Redwood Road in Bluffdale it's nice to pass a flagger like Jullyn Doyle.

"[I'm] waving at people and telling them thank you and giving them a high five, then I would just dance a little bit," she said.

She's known as the happy flagger. She says she does it to get people to slow down, plus it makes the day better for drivers.

"All of the people that are waving back at me, they make my day too," she said.

Doyle's become so popular among commuters, some have even stopped and given her pizza, chocolates and thank you cards.

Doyle says her friendly smile is a new way of living her life. She's a single mother and, until a few years ago, had a drug addiction. But now she's off the drugs doing what she can to support her kids.

She even went to school to become a heavy-equipment operator and is now just waiting her chance to get off the side of the road and into one of the machines.
