(KSL News) Ballet dancers gathered at the University of Utah today for what might be the audition of their lives.
The dancers are hoping for a spot in the School of American Ballet's summer program in New York City.
"It's exciting. I love auditioning. There's nothing you can do once you're here. All the preparing is done in the years before, and now you're doing what you do best," 17-year-old Mary Weber said.
The school anticipates auditioning more than 2,000 dancers in 22 cities, but there are only 200 spots up for grabs.
Utah dancers will find out within a week if they are headed to New York.
