(KSL News) A criminal investigation is under way after a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds was found near a park building at Jordanelle Reservoir Friday.
The woman, who police say is in her 20s, was found by park visitors when they followed multiple sets of foot prints in the snow that eventually led to her. They called police, and the woman was transported to an area hospital. She died late Friday evening.
State park police say the incident doesn't look like a suicide because there were no weapons found near the woman.
Police say they are having trouble identifying the woman. They describe her as Caucasian, wearing a pink sweater jacket, jeans and sneakers.
Anyone with information about her identity or who may have information about the shooting is asked to call police at 801-673-5791.
