Fire breaks out in downtown Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY — A large plume of smoke was spotted downtown Salt Lake City Tuesday just before 12:30 p.m.

The fire appeared to be burning just south of 330 S. Redwood Road. Salt Lake City fire crews said the fire was mostly on the exterior of a building in the area and asked the public to avoid Orange Street as crews battled the blaze.
