ERDA, Tooele County — Two people were killed in a Tooele County crash Wednesday.
A Chevy Corvette turning left from Parachute Lane onto state Route 179 turned in front of a northbound semitruck that was not hauling a trailer. The semi crashed into the Corvette, Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cameron Roden said.
The two passengers of the Corvette were killed. No identifying information has been released.
Northbound lanes on state Route 179 are closed while troopers respond to the scene.
