SALT LAKE CITY — A triple shooting in Weber County early Sunday left one person in critical condition.

Police responded at 1 a.m. Sunday to an area near 9300 W. 900 South in Weber County after a call that a man had been shot, according to a news release from the Weber County Sheriff's Office.

A man in his early 20s had a gunshot wound to the head, was in critical condition and was flown to the hospital by medical helicopter, the sheriff's office said.

A 5-year-old girl and another man were also found at the scene with gunshot wounds and injuries that did not appear life-threatening, according to the release. They were both taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The sheriff's office indicated that the investigation to find the shooter remains active. There had been a large gathering in the area prior to the shooting, and police were interviewing witnesses from the area to identify a suspect, according to the release.
