MAGNA — A Magna man upset about losing a video game was arrested early Tuesday after police say he caused a commotion and damaged his home.

The 22-year-old man had apparently been up all night playing video games and became "upset from losing a video game," which prompted him to create a "ruckus" in his home, according to a police booking affidavit.

Another person in the home confronted the man "in an attempt to calm (him) down because it was the middle of the night," but the man "threw a fit," and police were called about 4 a.m. when the two got into a scuffle, the affidavit states.

During the course of being upset, the man "kicked a hole through the wall of the bedroom, breaking the drywall on both sides," according to the arrest report.

When officers arrived and asked what happened, the man "refused to speak about the incident," police wrote.

The man was arrested and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of misdemeanor property damage.
