SOUTH SALT LAKE — Police have confirmed the identity of the woman killed in a motorcycle crash in South Salt Lake Wednesday.

The accident happened at the corner of Truman Avenue and Main Street about noon.

The motorcyclist, 43-year-old Mary Kirk from Salt Lake City, was transported to the hospital in critical condition and later died as a result of her injuries, he said.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

"The loss has been devastating to many, including her children, boyfriend, mother, cousins and all friends alike," Kirk's oldest daughter wrote in a GoFundMe* Campaign set up to pay for funeral expenses.
