SALT LAKE CITY — A 50-year-old man was killed after police say his truck flipped during a crash just after 4 a.m. Saturday in Salt Lake City's Glendale neighborhood.

Police on Monday identified the man as Terry Lyday, but did not provide more information about the collision.

The crash happened near 1200 W. 2100 South, where officers found a Dodge Ram on its side and the driver trapped in the vehicle, Salt Lake police said in a news release.

Detectives believe Lyday was driving east on 2100 South when he lost control, drove through a fence, and hit two parked pickup trucks before his own vehicle rolled.

The Salt Lake City Fire Department was able to remove him from the vehicle, but he died on scene.
