SANDY — A man was struck by a car and critically injured Monday night in Sandy.

A 67-year-old man was crossing the road at the intersection of 10600 S. 1300 East around 8:20 p.m. when a car turning right didn't see him and hit him, Sandy police said.

The man was transported in critical condition to a hospital. His identity has not been released.

Police said the driver of the car was cooperating with the investigation and there is no impairment suspected.
