MOAB — A motorcyclist died Thursday in a crash on U.S. 191 near Moab.

About 10:50 a.m., a motorcycle was going south on U.S. 191 south of Moab when it experienced some equipment failure, the Department of Public Safety said. The motorcycle crossed into incoming traffic and struck a northbound truck.

The 61-year-old woman driving the motorcycle died on scene. Her identity has not yet been released.

Traffic in both directions of U.S. 191 was closed for a few hours during the investigation, the Department of Public Safety said.
