SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The U.S. Forest Service and Salt Lake County are increasing the entry fee to Mill Creek Canyon starting Jan. 1.
Salt Lake Ranger District Recreation Manager Carol Majeske says the price per car will go up to $3 from $2.25, and the cost of an annual pass will jump from $22 to $40.
Majeske says the canyon needs picnic tables, improved snow removal in parking lots and better security to decrease car break-ins.
