SALT LAKE CITY — A 34-year-old man was shot early Saturday near 900 West Folsom Avenue, and police are searching for the suspect.
About 4:40 a.m., police received several 911 calls about a shooting in the area. When officers arrived they found a man with at least one gunshot wound along Folsom Trail and began life-saving efforts. The man was then transported by paramedics to the hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
Police searched the area for the shooter and learned through witnesses that the suspect had left on a bike.
Officers say the suspect and the man had an argument prior to the shooting and do not believe there is a threat to the community.
No arrests have been made and a detailed suspect description was not available.
