SALT LAKE CITY — Two teen boys have been arrested in connection with the killing of a 23-year-old man in Salt Lake City on Friday.
Rory Swimm, 23, was shot and killed about 1:45 a.m. near 600 East and 200 South.
On Monday, Salt Lake City police announced that two 15-year-old boys were arrested Saturday for investigation of murder and booked into juvenile detention. The arrests were made after search warrants were served at undisclosed locations by members of the SWAT team, as well as detectives from the department's gang unit and Violent Criminal Apprehension Team.
Investigators believe the two boys had been looking for Swimm and his friends following an argument earlier Friday evening.
"This shooting does not appear to be random," police said in a prepared statement.
Police say a third person allegedly there during the shooting was also identified but was not arrested and is not facing any charges as of Monday.
