SALT LAKE CITY — The long wait is over.
High school football — the game, the social gatherings, the Friday night lights — all return next week. There's no more summer conditioning under the blazing sun; it's time for the community to come together and celebrate their local team on the football field.
Here at KSL.com, we will continue to cover many of the games around the state and provide you, the reader, with a closer look at some of the best athletes and teams from around the state in their pursuit for a state title.
This year, though, we're partnering with Cafe Rio to highlight one BOLD football player of the week. Each week, we'll scour the state to find football players that excel on the field — and off the field, too — and highlight their accomplishments for all to see.
Each athlete of the week will receive several free meals from Cafe Rio and a swag bag of items to recognize their success this season.
