WESTWATER, Grand County — Deputies say rafters found a body while they were floating the Colorado River Thursday.

According to the Grand County Sheriff's Office, the rafters found the body at 12:37 p.m. about two miles upstream from the Westwater Ranger Station in Grand County.

The rafters reported the body then secured the it to their raft and floated down river to the ranger station. Deputies from Mesa County in Colorado and Grand County in Utah responded at the station.

The body is an unidentified adult male and is being transported to the Utah Medical Examiner's Office. The investigation is ongoing to find out who the man is and what happened to him, but as of Thursday evening no foul play is expected, Grand County Sheriff's Al Cymbaluk said.
