KIMBALL JUNCTION, Summit County — Officials said one individual is dead following a crash on I-80 in Parleys Canyon on Monday night.
A semitruck hit the left median wall, rolled over and then slid to the right, blocking the right-hand lanes on westbound I-80 in Salt Lake County about seven miles west of Kimball Junction in Summit County. The driver was the only person in the semitruck and died at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The name, age and gender of the driver was not released.
All of westbound I-80 was closed in the canyon Monday night, but was reopened as of Tuesday morning.
