MURRAY — A man is in critical condition following an auto-pedestrian crash on State Street in Murray Wednesday evening.

Kristin Reardon with Murray Police Department said the man, who is in his late 50s, was hit by a vehicle traveling south. The man was transported away from the scene in critical condition.

The crash happened near 4800 South, and Reardon said the southbound lanes in the area had been closed but should be opening late Wednesday night.

The driver of the vehicle has been cooperative with police, she said.
