SALT LAKE CITY — BYU got back in the win column on Saturday with a late Puka Nacua touchdown against Boise State.
The win helped the team rebound from a four-game losing skid that left the program in question of whether a bowl was in its future, but that has become more certain now. As a result of the win, three BYU fans topped the Week 10 leaderboard in the KSL.com College Football Pick'em.
BYU fan Libby Fenton led the way with 220 points, followed by BYU fans Joe Monsen (219 points) and Brandon Holyoak (215 points). There was a three-way tie for third place, but Holyoak came out on top after the tiebreaker.
The Cougars fan base also led the way last week with an average of 25.1 points per game, followed in a tie by Utah fans and Utah State fans at 23.0 average points. The overall season lead remains with BYU fans at 20.8 average points, but the gap continues to close. Utah fans have moved up to an average of 20.4 points, followed by Utah State fans at 19.9 points.
This week's first-, second- and third-place winners will get a $100, $70 and $30 Visa gift card, respectively, courtesy of Goldenwest Credit Union. The overall winners of Pick'em will receive a $500 gift card for first place, a $250 gift card for second place and a $100 gift card for third place.
