SALT LAKE CITY — In a convincing 49-14 win over Nebraska over the week, Oklahoma showed it's a force to be reckoned with in the Big 12 — just like it was before Lincoln Riley left to Los Angeles.
The Sooners jumped Clemson this week in the KSL.com Top 25 Fan Poll to take the No. 5 spot in the rankings — behind a solid top four teams that remained unchanged from last week. The only difference is that Georgia has gained more first-place votes — and for good reason.
Other teams receiving first-place votes include Alabama (3), Michigan (1) and BYU (1) — it's hard for some fans to take the blue-colored glasses off when voting it seems.
The Cougars enter the Week 4 poll at No. 16, which is five spots lower than where it was last week but three spots higher than their spot in the Associated Press Top 25 poll. Utah, which wrapped up its nonconference slate with a 35-7 win over San Diego State, moves up to No. 13, two spots higher than last week.
