CORINNE, Box Elder County — Two drivers were seriously injured after a head-on crash near Brigham City early Wednesday.
The crash happened on state Route 13 at 2800 West in Corinne, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cameron Roden said.
At 6:22 a.m., a 2013 Toyota Corolla driving east on state Route 13 near 2800 West drove into the opposite lane, and hit a 2021 Ford Mustang head-on, Roden said.
The Ford driver, a 41-year-old Brigham City man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries; while the Toyota driver, a 34-year-old Brigham City woman, was flown from the scene with "very serious" injuries.
The road in both directions was closed for about two hours for an investigation.
Roden said, as of Thursday afternoon, the Ford driver is in serious condition and the Toyota driver is in critical condition. He said distracted driving is being investigated as a possible cause of the crash.
