WEST VALLEY CITY — A 23-year-old man was shot and killed early Saturday in West Valley City.

About 3:10 a.m., police responded to a report of shots fired near 2935 S. Whistling Lane (2400 West). Officers arrived to find "a chaotic scene with a large group of people," including two men who had been shot, according to West Valley police.

Elijah Brown, 23, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and later died from his injuries, police said. A second man was also taken to a hospital in critical condition but he was reported as stable.

No arrests had been made as of Monday. Police say there was "some sort of dispute" at a party happening in an apartment just prior to the shooting.
