VEYO, Washington County — Two motorcyclists were killed Sunday after a car hit them on Old Highway 91 in Washington County, troopers said.
About 4:20 p.m., a Harley Davidson carrying a man and woman was driving south on the highway near Veyo when a northbound Honda crossed the center line and struck the motorcycle head-on, said Utah Highway Patrol trooper Mike Alexander.
The Honda driver was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. Alexander said, however, that his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
The driver of the Honda is being investigated for impairment.
Troopers have not yet released the names of the two people killed as they were still working to notify family members early Monday.
After the crash, Old Highway from Beaver Dam through Utah Hill to St. George was shut shut down temporarily in both directions.
