Allen "is in the care of the authorities," according to a Facebook post on a page created to help find Allen.
"We cannot express enough gratitude to the incredible law enforcement effort," the post says. "And we are eternally grateful for each of you, your prayers, your love, and your support."
Family members believed Allen was "facing a major mental health crisis and needs help" when she left her apartment Monday.
Snow College police said Thursday that she had her cellphone with her when she left her apartment, and they, along with the FBI, were working to track messages to help locate her.
"Maddie was born prematurely at 26 weeks and only 1½ pounds, with a brain bleed," Jonathan Allen, Madelyn's father, said Thursday. "Since then, she has faced myriad of challenges, including disability as well as mental and emotional difficulties."
Thousands of people shared social media posts about Allen's disappearance in hopes of bringing her home.
