VERNAL — A 66-year-old man died after being hit by a car Saturday morning in Vernal, police said.

The man was in a crosswalk on 500 W. Main Street when he was hit by a car around 8 a.m., police said on Facebook.

The man died at the scene. Police are investigating the incident and say there were several witnesses.

The man's identity and further details have not been released.
