SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Kylan Weisser threw two touchdown passes and added a pair of TD runs to help Weber State beat Cal Poly 38-7 on Saturday night.
Weisser was 11-of-16 passing for 143 yards, completing at least one pass to 10 different receivers. He capped a 12-play, 79-yard drive to open the game with a 1-yard touchdown run and scored on a 4-yard run early in the second quarter to make it 14-7 and Weber State (2-3, 1-1 Big Sky) led the rest of the way.
Weisser threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Dave Jones midway through the period and Winston Reid's strip-sack of Cal Poly's Jackson Pavitt led to a 2-yard fumble return for a score by B.J. Taulele that made it 28-7 with 42 seconds left in the half.
With the win, Jay Hill recorded his 54th win in his eight years at Weber State and became the Wildcats' all-time leader in coaching wins.
Cal Poly (1-4, 0-2), finished with just 115 total yards, has lost four straight since a season-opening win over San Diego.

Davis TD run lifts Portland State past Southern Utah
CEDAR CITY — Beau Kelly set up the game-winning touchdown with a 30-yard punt return, and Davis Alexander cashed in with a 10-yard run to the end zone early in the fourth quarter as the Vikings earned their first Big Sky Conference win of the season, knocking off Southern Utah 20-13 on Saturday night.
Noah Alejado put the Thunderbirds on top, 13-10 early in the third quarter with his second field goal of the game, this one from 29 yards out, but Gianni Smith converted a 28-yard kick to tie the game at 13-13 with 1:09 left in the quarter.
Alexander was 18-of-23 passing for 151 yards, but was picked off once. He carried eight times for 17 yards and a touchdown. Kelly caught seven passes for 59 yards. Jalynnee McGee carried seven times for 78 yards, and Malik Walker had 17 carries for 71 yards and a touchdown for Portland State (2-3, 1-1).

Justin Miller was 15 of 23 for 179 yards passing to lead Southern Utah (1-4, 0-2), but the T-Birds managed just 88 yards on the ground on 31 carries. Ethan Bolingbroke had seven catches for 83 yards and a touchdown.
Oladokun, turnovers help South Dakota State beat Dixie State
BROOKINGS, S.D. — Chris Oladokun threw two touchdown passes, Pierre Strong Jr. ran for two more scores and South Dakota State beat Dixie State 55-7 on Saturday night.
South Dakota State (4-0) went three-and-out three times and had minus-8 total yards in its first four offensive possessions before exploding in the second quarter for 35 points. Oladokun converted a fourth-and-1 with a 2-yard run on a keeper on the first play of the period and, on the next play, Strong exploded up the middle for a 21-yard touchdown to open the scoring.
After a Dixie State punt, Oladokun hit Michael Morgan for an 11-yard touchdown with 7:06 left in the quarter and Dalys Beamun returned an interception 36 yards for a score 59 seconds later. Strong added a 3-yard touchdown run with 4:31 to go and Oladokun connected on a 4-yard TD pass to Zach Heinz to make it 35-0 with 10 seconds left in the half.

Dixie State (0-4) finished with zero yards rushing on 23 carries and committed five turnovers. Kobe Tracy connected with Cade Veach on a 16-yard pass with six seconds left to help Dixie prevent the shutout.
The Jackrabbits, ranked No. 3 in the FCS coaches poll, have scored at least 42 points in each game this season, beginning with a 42-23 win at Colorado State to open the season on Sept. 3.
