WEST VALLEY CITY — A man who was critically injured in a head-on crash at 5600 West near 2200 South died on Sunday just two days after the June 25 crash, according to West Valley City police.
Armando Lumbreras, 52, died of his injuries on June 27, according to West Valley City police Lt. Steve Burke. Lumbreras had been taken to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray and underwent surgery following the crash.
The crash occurred on Friday, June 25, shortly before 5:50 a.m., according to West Valley Police Sgt. John Pittman. The 16-year-old boy was riding southbound in a passenger car on 5600 West when the car veered into the northbound lane and collided with an SUV, driven by Lumbreras.
The 16-year-old boy was also killed in the crash, Pittman said.
