PROVO — A Silver Alert has been canceled after an 89-year-old Provo man who has dementia, needs medications and was considered endangered was found safe.

Howard Edwards had last been seen in Provo around 11 a.m. Monday, according to the Provo Police Department. He recently moved to Provo and police thought he may be trying to travel back to Salt Lake City.

Edwards was found safe in Salt Lake City on Monday evening, Provo Police said in a tweet.
