SALT LAKE CITY — A man died and a woman was critically injured early Sunday in a shooting at a downtown Salt Lake apartment complex, police said.
About 3:53 a.m., police were called on the report of shots fired at the Milagro Apartments, 241 W. 200 South, said Salt Lake Police Lt. Lisa Pascadlo.
When officers arrived, they found a man and woman, both described as in their 20s, with gunshot wounds in the lobby of the high-rise complex. They were both taken to a local hospital, where the man died, Pascadlo said.
Salt Lake City Police Department identified the victim on Monday as Miguel Angel Prado, 23.
Salt Lake police also identified two persons of interest related to the shooting in a Twitter post Monday – Lennyn Barios-Peralta, 22, and Andrea Martina Velez, 19.
It appeared the shooting happened within the apartment building. Investigators were working to get video surveillance footage from the scene, she said.
