Utah State blown out again as Aggies begin season 0-2

SALT LAKE CITY — The "train wreck" continued into Thursday.

Less than 24 hours after Utah State's horrific finish in its season-opening loss, the Aggies were back on the court. Things didn't go any better.

Utah State was smashed 83-59 by South Dakota State on the second day of the Crossover Classic in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Neemias Queta had 12 points and eight rebounds to lead the Aggies and Marcos Anthony added 10 points. The pair were the only two Utah State players to reach double figures in a game that was never close.

South Dakota State took a 15-point lead into the break and never looked back.

The Jackrabbits shot 56.1% from the field, including going 15-of-27 from the 3-point line. Utah State shot 31.8% in the blowout loss.

This is the first time the Aggies have started a season with back-to-back losses since 1993-94.

Utah State will play Northern Iowa (0-2) Friday at 2 p.m. in its final game of the Crossover Classic.
