SALT LAKE CITY — Check back here for the latest scores from all the Week 3 high school football games across the state.

Game of the Week: East @ Lone Peak

Why did we choose East at Lone Peak?

The Knights feature arguably the best defense in the state and have put up a combined 76 points in their first two outings. Lone Peak enters Week 3 as the No. 4 team in the KSL.com Top 20+1 rankings and is one of six teams from Region 4 that have gone a perfect 12-0 in the first two weeks of play.

East is looking to bounce back from a Week 2 shutout loss to Orem, the reigning champs and still the team to beat in Class 5A. The Leopards have talent, a unique triple option offense, and still rank No. 10 in the Top 20+1, but something needs to click to keep East atop Region 6 — Brighton and Skyline are circling.

For the third straight week, a Utah high school football game has been canceled because of complications from the coronavirus. Timpview's rivalry game at Provo was canceled after three classes at Provo High were ordered to quarantine due to a student testing positive for COVID-19.
