TAYLORSVILLE — Two women were shot in a Taylorsville neighborhood, and later ended up in a car in a McDonald's parking lot early Sunday.

Faalae So'o, 37, was arrested overnight in connection with the shooting and is being held on suspicion of aggravated assault and felony discharge of a firearm.

The shooting occurred at 3739 Baneberry Way just before 1 a.m., according to Unified police detective Ken Hansen. Hansen said police don't yet know what led up to the shooting or if everyone involved knew each other.

Two 18-year-old women were shot, Hansen said; they were driven to the McDonald's at 5400 S. 3900 West in a car with three uninjured women. So'o was taken into custody in Taylorsville.

One of the injured women is in critical condition, Hansen said. The shooting is under investigation.

Hansen said other vehicles were hit during the shooting
