SALT LAKE CITY — Here are the latest coronavirus-related updates from Utah and around the world.
Local businesses and schools are preparing for the COVID-19 pandemic to continue to spread by announcing closures and limiting person-to-person contact as much as possible.
There are currently 41 confirmed cases in Utah, including residents and visitors. The Utah Department of Health hasn't updated its numbers since Monday at 1 p.m. which showed 29 residents testing positive and an additional 10 non-residents.
As of Monday at 6 p.m., 13 people in Summit County had tested positive for the disease, including residents and visitors, according to Summit County Health Department. The state’s health department showed Summit County with 11 confirmed positive cases.
With the new Summit County cases the total number of confirmed Utah cases, including residents and visitors, rose from 39 to 41. It wasn't immediately clear if the two new Summit County cases were residents or visitors.
There are currently more than 3,000 confirmed cases in the United States and over 169,000 global cases, according to Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center.
