CEDAR CITY (AP) — Dre Marin matched his career high with 20 points as Southern Utah romped past Bethesda 110-66 on Tuesday night.

Dwayne Morgan had 18 points for Southern Utah. Jakolby Long added 16 points. Cameron Oluyitan had 15 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

“We were happy with the guys overall effort,” SUU coach Todd Simon said. “We played our brand of basketball, getting up and down the floor, pressing all over and leaving it all out there. I liked our ball pressure for stretches and we really shared the ball which is an emphasis for us.”

The Thunderbirds are coming off their second-ever postseason appearance as they qualified for the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT). SUU finished at .500 for the first time since the 2006-07 season at 17-17.

Jonathan Akharoh had 16 points for the Flames. Eric LaShawn Hamilton added 13 points and seven rebounds. Kevlin Swint had six rebounds.
