OGDEN — An 18-year-old was killed and his brother was critically injured Monday evening in a shooting.

The shooting happened about 5:35 p.m. in a home at 864 W. Lake St., Ogden Police Lt. Clint Christensen said. Family members identified the boy killed as 18-year-old Kameron Johnson.

His brother, Eric Johnson Jr., 20, was critically injured. Kamron was dead when police arrived and Eric Johnson Jr. was taken to a local hospital, according to the family.

Police said no suspects were in custody as of Monday evening. However, investigators do not believe there is a danger to the general public.

"This looks more like it was a targeted situation and not random," Christensen said.

Police do not know if anyone else was in the house at the time of the shooting.

Investigators Monday night were canvassing the neighbor in search of any witnesses or video from the scene.

Additional details were not immediately available.

Editor's note: Police initially gave the spelling of "Kamron" instead of "Kameron." They also said Kameron Johnson was 16 instead of 18, and Eric Johnson Jr. is 22 instead of 20. Police later corrected that information, and it has also been corrected in this story.
